NEW YEAR'S EVE CRUISE

This was my first cruise and sure won’t be my last. Had a memorable experience. Can’t say enough how friendly and inviting the staffs were. They were all smiles dealing with about 4,000 people on board. There were alot of food options. My recent voyage aboard the Carnival Cruise Dream from April 6th to 14th was a rollercoaster of experiences, ranging from delightful surprises to disappointing letdowns.Let's start with the positives. Among the sea of mediocrity, two stars shone brightly. Dewa, our room attendant, embodied excellence in customer service. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our stay memorable.

We were very pleased with the cruise BUT we always get a balcony and right below our balcony was a whirlpool with a very bright light that shined into our room all night. We couldn't stand out on our balcony and enjoy the view because there were people in the whirlpool all day long, every day looking back at us! From start to finish this was a subpar vacation for our kids. Way too crowded, buffet was not good & worse of all was that the service sucked. Trying to find a fun, charismatic bartender was not possible. We couldn't even try to throw out extra mobey for decent service. Pathetic! Whether it be waiting for a drink, waiting for food, waiting to get off the ship, waiting for an elevator, waiting in line for our excursion, or waiting in a line to get back to the ship/ on the ship after an extremely short excursion… I feel that my money would have been better spent

Carnival is obviously struggling to pay off its debt from the pandemic. I have never been on a cruise where there was so much disorganization, poor customer service, weary employees, ineffective systems, and general apathy.The Carnival Hub app is not very good. Nothing like formal night, asking for reserved wine and them losing it. Then issue not being resolved until after dessert. We've been cruising several times in the past with Carnival and RCL. We had great impression on Carnival back to 2016 so we chose Carnival Dream to sail with our 18-month old baby.
