It's certainly possible Adobe no longer supports the registration on such an old product. Have you contacted Adobe via chat?
Start by going to this page and clicking on the question mark icon on the top right of the page. Select Contact Us and then use the Virtual Assistant that pops up to contact Customer Care.

so after a lengthy online chat with an agent, I am being told I have too may activations running for this, which I don't agree with as I very rarely use the software anyway, and I have done the "deactivation" function for an older PC (sold with a clean windows install)
I am also being told that thier servers don't have all the info for legacy products.
so I'm stuck!!
thoughts??
thanks!

During the last month or so I have read many messages similar to yours in other forums
Adobe has retired the old activation servers and it is no longer possible to activate old programs
This is one example...

Thx John
Thats quite dissapointing!
(especially when the support staff don't tell you this but basically have you going in circles trying to "deactivate" it, when that isn't the issue!)
It certainly doesn't feel like a good way to treat clients (as I have other current Adobe apps operational)
Does anyone know of any workarounds please? Or am I essentailly "locked out" of the software I bought?!
thanks in advance
Ed.

I don't if the activation server for your specific program has been retired, but I **think** that may be the cause of your problem
Nobody here, not even the few employees who post in these forums, have anything to do with Adobe's decisions, so there is nothing anyone here can do to help
